Switec X27.168 Breakout Board

Yet another breakout board for a Switec X27.168 stepper motor. It's just like the others except it's round! The board is tested and functions. It uses Fairchild/ON Semiconductor 1N4148 diode to protect the microcontroller.

    This looks good. I'm confused though. D5-D8 appear to be grounded to each other but not back to the boards ground pad. Where as D1-D4 are!

    This is weird. Why doesn't the board layout match the schematic? D8 and D6 are not connected to ground. Why is that?
